Challenge

Looking at how big data, the internet of things and Re-distributed Manufacture (RDM) can transform the consumer goods landscape and future of UK manufacture.

 

Key achievements

Team lead of 6 members including designers, engineers and information technologists. Created a methodology for research, designing a strategy for engaging a diverse community of stakeholders including Cisco, IBM, Dragon Rouge, Unilever and Philips. This included mapping out organisations in the RECODE network based on their capabilities. I was responsible for creating video graphics and development including storyboarding and wireframing.

Outcome

Over 20 interviews were completed alongside research into the latest trends to develop a detailed literature review into the 4th industrial revolution and future trends. Systems diagram developed of a future supply chain including all entities and how they interact with each other. Finally the creation of three motion graphic videos including a product example to help consumers understand the context.
